For those of you who don’t know Gary, he is potentially the closest thing to my digital media idol. The video was something I happened to stumble upon while roaming the internet and recognized his face. Gary is an entrepreneur who decided to become a wine guru via the internet and now has just exploded. I first saw him when watching a TEDx video in 2008 (below) and has been my inspiration for everything I do in my life.

Gary was on MSNBC’s morning joe show talking about his new book “the thank you economy”. Which to sum it up is about how social media is changing the way we do business. How its bringing the “mom and pop” shop feel to corporations and I couldn’t agree more. Its now about creating a conversation rather than just blasting a message.  For anyone out there who is thinking about starting a company or is just beginning to, listen to this man. He will change you.
